I swear she says "MAAAMMMMM"

Ivy is 4 months old and I'm convinced she says Mom. I only hear it sometimes and it is only when she is fussy. She whines and cries out "MAAAAMMMM." She has grown up so much in the last month. She now grabs toys, rattles, softies and stuffed animals. She also has mastered the fake cough to get attention. Ivy also ignores people on purpose. Sometimes, when I'm trying to make her laugh, she gives me this face where she is trying not to smile. She's doing everything she can to hold it back. Ivy holds her head up now like a champ and looks wide-eyed at the TV when basketball is on. My favorite thing in the world is when she smiles so big that it takes over her whole face, when she cuddles up against my shoulder, or when she falls asleep with me in bed and has to be holding my hands or face.

Pictures from this last month:

Easter Sunday:
Ivy's lace Easter Dress from Zara (thanks Da)
Chillin' in her new glasses that the Easter Bunny got her.
Our attempt at an Easter family picture

I couldn't pick just one picture of her Easter dress. She looked so adorable. Even though her head is too big for headbands. It left a mark on her cutesy fatsy head the rest of the day.

The Bumbo:
Big enough for the bumbo

Sunday's:
Ivy is amazing at church. She sleeps in her carrier all of church, 60% of the time, every time. Today we went to Stake Conference at the Conference center downtown and she slept the entire time!

Chewing on her hand & pulling my hair:
It's her new thing. There is always part of her hand in her mouth. Sometimes it is her whole fist. And she ALWAYS has a fistful of my hair. It hurts like the dickens, but I let her take hold.

The Bees Game:
My company takes our team to a Bees game every year. It's so fun, even though I'm not the biggest fan of baseball. This year, we were on our way up to the suite, when the doors from the elevator slowly opened. The bee mascot was standing in the elevator. I stepped back, said "I'll take the next one, I'm kind of scared of the bee." The bee heart me and gave me a creepy "I'll find you later wave." And he did. Pretty sure he kissed me head. Nightmares.

Things that make me cry:

1. How fast Ivy is growing up.

2. When Ivy met adorable Smith Richards a.k.a Sniffy for the first time. They were best buds.

3. When Ivy takes baths in the adorable bath flower.

The end. Till next time.

Dear Ivy-14 Weeks Old

Dearest Ivy,

You are now 14 weeks old. How did that happen? It seems like just yesterday I held you in my arms for the first time and wondered what I did to be blessed with such an amazing little baby. I love you so much Ivy. In honor of you being 14 weeks old, I wanted to tell you some of the things that I love about you.

1. The way you look me straight in the eyes when I'm feeding you.
2. Scratch my chest when you are eating.
3. Stretch like a cat a bazillion times a day.
4. Talk to the polka dots on the wall like they are your best friends.
5. Fake cough to get people's attention.
6. Sometimes you ignore me and no matter how close I get to you, you won't look at me. You think you're funny! (You get that from me...I think I'm funny too!)
7. Grin from ear to ear when we try to put in your binky and you won't take it.
8. Rest your head on my shoulder when I carry you around.
9. The puzzled look you give yourself in the mirror.
10. The way you raise your eyebrow at me.
11. The face you give when you are trying not to laugh.
12. How you sleep through the night EVERY NIGHT (Hallelujah!)
13. Your chubby cheeks that I want to kiss every day.
14. Your beautiful blue eyes (I think you have my eyes, Dad thinks you have his)
15. When we stick you in the crack of the couch and you just chat away with me like we are having a real life conversation.
16.  The look on your face when we do patty-cake, "This is the way the gentleman ride," and sing the "hello" song to you.
17. When you yawn or sneeze, the adorable sound you make afterwards.
18. When I put you in our bed and lay down next to you, you roll over and grab my hand or my face before you can fall asleep.
19. The way you suck in your bottom lip sometimes and stick it out when you are pouting.
20. The way you flex and point your toes.
21. How you kick your legs all the time and you think it's soooo funny.

Love you Ivy Grace. Stop growing up so fast.

Things I NEED!

Things I've been eyeing lately!

1. Some cute sunnies from Anthropologie.

2. Overalls. When I was little, my mom used to make me wear overalls to school. I HATED THEM! Who knew that I'd want them again! But seriously, how adorable are these?

3. Floral Kimono

4. Floral blazer or jacket. This one is from Gap.
5. Leather Skirt. This one is from Anthro. Want to find a cheaper one that is still long enough.

6. Leopard Sneakers from Nordy's.

9. Platinum Hair
