Playing Catch-up

When I have written on the blog for awhile, I look back at my pictures and my instagram account to see what I've missed. Here is a re-cap of what has happened lately in my life.

I said goodbye to Mazda (Mazdaz, Dorothy,) and other nicknames I can't say. This car got me through my whole college experience. It got me through breakups, heartache, college, road trips, driving from Provo to Farmington and back to Provo. In this car I got out of most speeding tickets, picked up dudes(that one's a lie), sang my heart out as I pumped the radio up (and blew one of the speakers), and sped EVERYWHERE.  I really do feel like I said goodbye to part of my youth. We bought my mother-in-law's Acura MDX from her. It is such an amazing car, but I do miss my Mazda.

Ivy loves her play tent that I got her for Christmas. She has all of her toys inside. She will climb inside and pat the area next to her and say "momma?" She won't stop saying it until I sit down next to her. I love when she does this.
Proof that Ivy's adorable mullet-curls will fit into a ponytail. I love her curls in the back so much.

It was a really rainy day and Ivy found her floaties and put them on. She kept pointing outside and wanted to go swimming. So I filled the tub up as full as it would go, and it acted like our pool for the day....kind of.
I have such a hard time saying no to this face.
We love when Matt, Haiquis and their kids (Camila, Benjamin, and Emma) come to visit. Putting them in the swing together is the best thing ever. It always makes me laugh.

Ivy's favorite game right now is to "BOO" everyone. She will just come up to you and yell "BOO", thinking she will scare you. She does this to me daily carrying different objects around the house.

The many faces of Ivy Grace

That time that Ivy found my old glasses and came out with them and giggled the whole time.

Ivy's first time at Cherry Hill. We went with my mom, Matt & Haiquis, and their fam.

Showering Kelsie & future baby Olive at my house.
Celebrating my sis-in-law (yes, the other Emily Davies) at the Herriman Pond. It was a little windy, but still so fun. Driving home, Jas and I drove through the craziest storm I've ever been in. Rain, lightning, power-outages.
Deep in conversation
She truly is my daughter, just as silly as me. I turn around one day, and she is making silly faces through the glass of one of our cabinets.

I have to document when Jason and I go out on a date, since it happens so infrequently. We went to see the Avengers on this date. #iheartThor. It was the first time we got a babysitter that wasn't family.
Somebody inherited my FIIZ obsession
We went to Barnes Park at least a couple times a month to visit the ducks, Ivy's fave animal

For Jason's 27th b-day bash, (his golden b-day, 27 on the 27th), we swam at the neighborhood pool, ate pizza, and these amazing Cutlers brownie marshmallow cookies. #theymakemedrool They are way better in the fridge. YUM!

Ivy also likes when we fill up the baby pool in the backyard. She doesn't last that long, because she runs in the road and the neighbors yard, but she likes it for a bit.
Someone left me flowers at my house. To this day, I don't know who it was. It was the nicest thing ever. It really touched me that someone would do that. I was going through a rough time and it really helped me. Made me want to pass the good along, to pay it forward. Thank you to whoever did this for me. I even tried to call the flower people to see who it was, but they wouldn't give me a name.
Taylor & Kelsie's daughter Olive June was born. Kels and Olive gave us quite a scare during the delivery, and we are so grateful they are okay, healthy and beautiful. I mean, look at that face. There is nothing better. She is straight from heaven and is the most perfect thing.
Sniff and Ives on the teeter-totter
Ivy has an obsession with hats. She will come out of my closet wearing 2 or 3 on her head. When I am wearing one, she takes it off my head and puts it on hers.
We took Ivy to Boondocks for my work party. She loved the Kiddie area. She was laughing and playing with the kids. She got taken out three different times, really hard, but didn't even cry. She's my touch little girl. She loved the merry-go-round and playing Wheel of Fortune.

I am one of those mom's that likes to dress up like their daughter. I try to do it all the time. But this is usually the picture we end up with, because Ivy doesn't like #twinning with her momma.
Me thinking she's gonna give me a huge kiss.
What usually happens. OUCH. Yes that is my hair.
Mom & daughter selfies

Not my best look. But her scrunched nose is worth posting this.

My KSL Deals team went boating at Pineview. So fun to tube (even though I got ROCKED) and surf.

I know all of these pictures are so random, but I have to remember the little things. I love my daughter, husband, job and Summer!
