'Tis the Season

I know, I know. I am about the worst blogger in the whole entire world. I can't blog during work (too busy), I can't blog after work (gym, then hungry), and then I get sleepy. Good thing New Years is coming up right? So we can make our New Year's resolutions, that I only keep for about a week! What will be on the list this year? I will have to think of more, but I want to be a better blogger for sure. I do have a lot of catching up to do.

First of all, I can't believe it is already December 15th. I seriously can't believe it. Where did the time go? I love Christmas, it is the most amazing Holiday in the world. I am also so excited to spend my first Christmas married to my wonderful husband Jason. The Holidays are so much fun with him. He get's just as excited as I do.

'Tis the Season:

1. To remember Christ's birth

2. To spend as much time with family and friends as you can

3. To serve others

4. To listen to Christmas music until your ears start to hurt

5. To go to the Michael McClean concert, and leave before you have to hold hands with random strangers and sing "we can be together forever someday"

6. To go the Cori Connors concert (and listen to her music every day)

7. To decorate your Christmas Tree

8. To buy gifts for your loved ones (OR...just take them with you, have them pick out the present, and wrap it up). There is no going wrong with that approach.

9. To avoid Black Friday

10. For work parties ( and wonderful Christmas bonuses)

11. For mistletoe

12. To watch "The Holiday" "Love Actually" "The Grinch" "Miracle on 34th Street" "Rudolph" "Frosty the Snowman" and "The Christmas Toy" "Disney Christmas" (the one with Donald Duck and the snowballs) "Christmas Vacation"

13. To give thanks

14. To sit by the fire, watch the snow fall, and sip hot cocoa

15. To play hilarious games with the family like "Game of things"

16. To see how many times we can play "Settlers" and "The Train Game"

17. To see beautiful Christmas lights and decorations

18. To eat Momma Meek's sugar cookies, carmels, amazing mix, butter cookies, fudge, the list goes on and on.

19. To believe in Santa Clause

20. To see the lights at temple square and go to "The Spaghetti Factory"

21. To slip on ice and hurt your bum

22. To sled

23. To wear cute hats, scarves, and boots

24. To avoid driving and snowbanks (I AM TALKING TO YOU MS. JENNY MEEK)

25. For Grandma Love's amazing Christmas Party

26. To watch the O.C. episode where Seth makes up his own Holiday of "Christmakkah" :)

27. To listen and sing to Adam Sandler's Hanakah song.

28. For comfy and cute pajamas.

29. To read old Christmas stories you used to read as a kid.

30. To set up the village.

31. To set cookies out for Santa.

32. For love, laughter, and joy.

These are just a few reasons why I love Christmas. It is a whole month or two that makes me feel happy, joyful, and thankful most of the time. 'Tis the season to be jolly!

Harry Potter "The Deathly Hallows"

I have been waiting and waiting for the newest Harry Potter to come out, and the day finally came! I was so excited! You can call me a dork if you want, because I know it's true. I just have this thing with movies....I kinda am obsessed with them, and I love Harry Potter. I just barely read the last book to get prepared, and I forgot how scary it was.
Camee, Jason, and I got all dressed up (well Camee and I did) and went to Gateway. I love midnight Harry Potter's because of all the costumes. There were death eaters everywhere, Mrs. Weasley's, lots of Harry Potter scar and glasses, and my favorite costume...the golden snitch. A girl was dressed from head to toe in gold spandex, and she wings. It was so great.
We saw the movie in IMAX, and it was amazing. I thought it was really scary, but so well done. I already want to go again. Jason loved it because of 2 reasons:
1. Hermione

2. He loves the Harry Potter books

Earlier that night, my sister in law Jen did my hair. I finally changed it. I know right? I never ever change my hair...but it was time. We died it bronde...a mixture of brown and blonde. I love it! Thanks Jen! It was such a great night, even if we didn't get home until 3:30 p.m

Yo Amo Ingrid

First off, I love Ingrid Michaelson and her music. Jenny introduced me to dear Ingrid (Jenny, I am giving you credit where credit is due). And has been one of my favorite artists ever since. She is amazing, and I have a girl crush on her! I like her and her music because it is so different and unique. I listen to her music all of the time. I played it for Jason once, and he fell in love with her too. We went to her concert last year with Jenny and her friend Erin, and we were so lucky to get to go again this year. She is so much fun to watch, and her voice is amazing. It was funny looking at pictures from last year's concert and this year's. It made me realize that nothing has changed...Jason and I are and will always be goofy. But I love it. Excuse some of the pictures from this year, I know I look kinda greasy. Jason and I showed up at 5:30 to the concert to get a good place in line so we could be as close to Ingrid as possible! It said on the ticket that the doors were supposed to open at 6:30, THEY LIED! It was blizzarding, and Jason and I were freezing and we both were sick with a cough. Even though we froze our butts off, it was so worth it, because we were SO CLOSE TO INGRID. Jason says that Ingrid made eye contact, and sang to him for a song. I wouldn't be surprised, she did throw him her song list last year. Anyway, thanks Ingrid for being so amazing, and letting me come to your concert. I love you. This Year's ConcertLast year's concert...nothing's changed!

Songs of hers I love:

They Way I Am

Mountain and The Sea

The Hat

Breakable

Die Alone

Everybody

Far Away

Giving Up

Keep Breathing

Locked Up

Soft Of

Soldier

So Long

The Chain

You and I

If you are not a fan, listen now, and you will be.

Get Better Tay!

As you probably all know, my little brother Taylor is on a mission in Madrid, Spain. He has 6 months of his mission left, and he is so happy to be out serving the Lord. For a little over a month now, he has been really sick, and they can't find what the problem is. He is throwing up all of his food, and has lost 25 pounds. Please keep him in your prayers, as he wants to stay his last 6 months on his mission. I was looking through old pictures today, and it made me miss him a lot. Love you Tay. I am praying for you!

Such a Random Post

This is going to be such a random post I know. I am kind of a bad blogger. It is hard for me to know what I want to write about. I am also bad a taking pictures, so I am definitely not a good blogger as of now. I will be better...someday.

Things that bug me lately

1. Men who wear chokers, or ANY necklaces at all. Stop it men, stop with the pookashells, shell necklaces, and chains. You are not at the beach or a California dude.

2. Sunglasses indoors or at night. Your theme song is not..”I wear my sunglasses at night, so I can…so I can..something.” Hello…I have tried to wear sunglasses at night when my eyes hurt, and I can’t see a dang thing, so quit it people.

3. Vicious Rivalries-People people….it IS possible to be a BYU fan, and root for the U when they are not playing each other (That is what I do!) Just because you are a true U fan, does not mean you have to root against BYU and hate them. Yes, my husband is a culprit of this. I know rivalries are fun...but let's not take it too far!

4. When a restaurant with really good fries doesn’t have any fry sauce…come on…it is the sauce made for fries…buy some…your customers will be happy.

5. Guys who go tanning. If it is a special occasion…go ahead. But it is a NO NO any other time. “The Situation” is no exception.

6. Miley Cyrus…enough said.

7. The new show “My Generation” was canceled only after 2 shows. I am annoyed. I was really into that.

8. That I still haven’t seen the latest Zac Efron movie yet…who have I become?

9. Teenagers who swear their faces off..stop it…I want to wash your mouth out with soap!

Things I miss

1. Alias

2. Lost

3. Taylor…baby step to April.

4. Mexico

5. My husband (I haven't seen him all day)

6. My family all living in Utah.

7. Murphy and Meomix (old pets)

8. My old roomies…shout out.

9. Playdo ice cream from Cherry Hill

10. BYU and Provo sometimes.

11. Bangkok Thai (favorite restaurant in Provo).

12. Our house in Farmington, and our deck out back with the tramp.

13. When we used to put “Armorall” all the tramp to make it super

Slippery, and wear all slippery clothes….SO FUN!

14. My mother’s cooking….I realized I am not even 1/100th as good of a cook as she is.

15. In Jr. High, walking down to Spanky’s and then getting a Jones Soda at Smiths with my friends. Oh..trip down memory lane.

16. Our cabin at Bear Lake…tears.

17. Watching Dance Till Dawn with Jamie, Jenny, and my mom.

18. Being able to run 7 miles without any trouble.

19. Tacos al pastor.

20. The Mandarin…Please open up again, I am sick of you being closed.

21. My Grandpa Meek.

22. Good scary movies (not these nasty horror ones) like “What Lies Beneath” and “Sixth Sense.”

23. Wearing my wedding dress….oh, why did I only get to wear it one day?

24. The rainy season in Mexico.

25. SOCCER (and being good at it).

26. Playing cool computer games “Mckenzie and co” and “Sims”

27. Saved By the Bell (Zach Morris was my first kissing dream!)

28. Going to a movie and New York Burrito with my dad on the weekends when I was growing up.

29. Fighting with Jamie and Jenny (well, I don’t miss this part, but I miss us all being home and close enough to fight!)

30. Watching old fashion Disney movies…time for some lion king, or I wanna watch Mulan. “Let’s get down to business to defeat the huns!”

I gotta stop….too many memories of the past. Sorry for the random blog post!

Date Night and Tending Lucy

Last week was a great week. I got home from work and found beautiful yellow roses on the table from my Jason. It made my day. Then last Friday, we went on a date to an amazing Mexican food restaurant and redboxed "Killers." Don't see it! The first half was entertaining (hello, it has Ashton Kutcher in it), but the second half was absolutely ridiculous. It was so fun to have a night out! Then on Saturday, we got to watch my adorable niece Lucy. It is so fun to play with her. "Mimi help me make chocolate milk, Mimi we need more water to built our castle." We built a sand castle and had so much fun. Jason even read her a book while the Utah game was on.

The beautiful flowers just waiting on the table for me

Date night, Jason loves to match me.

St. George with the Davies Family

Over Labor Day, we went to St. George with the Davies Family. It was fun to get away from everything for a weekend. We left on Thursday right after work and came back Monday night. It was so much fun. We got to the beautiful condo around 8:30, just in time to catch the last bit of the Utah game. They won, which was a great start to the trip. The rest of the trip was filled with shopping, going to the pool, seeing the Disney play "Tarzan" atTuachan (amazing), Vegas shopping, wonderful food and restaurants, and fun game nights! Thanks so much Davies for such a wonderful and fun trip. Here are some pictures from our trip.
