I can't believe how fast time goes. I think I saw this in every single post, but it is true. I was just looking at pictures when Ivy was a teensy little 6 pound, 3 oz babe who slept all the time. Now, she is an almost 17 month crazy toddler whom I adore. She makes me laugh daily. She loves animal noises; her bunny noise and frog noise are probably my favorite. The sheep and the goat sound the exact same. My favorite thing in going to get her in the morning. She will play this game with me where she tries to tickle my chin through her crib. She loves the "where'd it go game," where she throws her binky or hides it and then puts her hands up like "where is it?" She loves her dad way more than her mom, and says dadadadaaaaaa all day long. Man, I am a lucky girl to be her momma.
Anyway, here is what has been going on the last month.
1. Ivy LOVES Curious George. Obsessed. When she finds the remote, she points it towards the TV and starts dancing. That's how she tells me she wants to watch "George." If I put it on, she climbs up on the couch and relaxes.
3. I had refractive eye surgery/Lasik/PRK done on my eyes. My brother-in-law did it, and it is seriously like a miracle. I can't tell you how amazing it is to not have to put in and take out contacts every day, or get a headache because of the glasses resting on the bridge of my nose all day. It is a miracle that I can wake up in the morning, open my eyes and actually SEE instead of being as blind as a bat.
Before the surgery. I know, I look sooooo good. I should rock this look all the time. |
After the surgery. All I wanted was a huge 44oz swig drink a sugar cookie. I loved my new vision! |
4. I had an amazing Mother's Day with Ivy Grace, Jason, and both of our families, and celebrated my Mom's b-day in May.
6. One of my closest friends from High School, Whitney Parnell came to visit Camee and I. I hadn't seen her in 5 years (since my wedding), and it was such a fun weekend. It was so fun to talk, eat good food, go on walks, and just catch-up. There were a couple mis-haps (like Whitney getting super sick when we stayed in Park City), but the rest was amazing!

7. We went to Annie's cabin for a quick trip Memorial Day weekend. I haven't been loving the fact that it has rained non-stop for the past week or so, but because of it, it was gorgeous in Oakley and so green. I was just in awe of the beauty. Such a fun trip with Annie and Carter. We played games till 2am, ate good food, and Ivy and Trey played so cute together.
8. Went to lunch with Jamie and my mom at Taqueria27. I seriously crave that place every day now that I've been there. I want the Mexican Cobb salad right now!

9. Ivy is obsessed with parks and swimming. I took her swimming for the first time yesterday since last summer, and loved it. Can't wait to take her lots this summer!
Disregard the old man hair she has going on. She had just gotten out of the bath! |
