Ivy Grace is 9 Months Old

Ivy Grace Davies is now almost 9 months old. She is such a little stinker with the cutest, spunkiest personality.  She'll yell at you, pull your hair, take your glasses off your face, and give you kisses, all with this spunky smile on her face. She also is a full blown crawler and will pull herself up to a standing position on every piece of furniture.

Nickmames:
Monkey
Moo Moo
Spunky Monkey
Punky Monkey
Hivey! (you don't even want to know)
Ives
Pivy
Snuggle Bunny
Stinky Binky
Cutesy Pootsy

Things about Ivy Grace:
1. Not sleeping. She hates to nap and no longer sleeps through the night. She loves to sleep in mom and dad's bed, but we are trying to break her of that habit. She fights sleep like nobody's business.
2. Ivy broke out in hives for 3 days straight. Worst things I've ever seen. We are still trying to figure out what she was allergic to. That is where her nickname "Hivey" came from.
3. She is crawling everywhere. She started scooting around 7 months, and now she is a full-blown crawler.
4. Ivy loves to read books at night. Her favorites right now are the ones with Sophie the giraffe in that involve peekaboo, or things that have different textures that she can touch.
5. She loves sweet potatoes and any kinds of fruit. She also loves bread and cheese.
6. She loves throwing toys off of her high chair.
7. Ivy likes watching Doc McStuffins, Peppa Pig, Baby Einstein, and Sesame Street (especially the one where the stars sing with the characters.)
8. She pulls her self up to a standing position on all her toys. I have no doubt she will be walking soon.
9. Ivy has been teething for about 4 months now, and none of them have popped through. This causes her to have her hand in her mouth 85% of the day.
10. We will play a game where she yells at me, I yell back, then she yells back and so on. Love that game. Also love the fact that I obviously passed on my lack of volume control to my daughter.
11. She still loves her jumper and gets serious air.
12. Ivy loves Jason and my iphones. She'll pick them up, look at them, wiggle them back and forth, etc...
13. She said dada, but hasn't really said it again. She now says "mamamamama" all the time.
14. She loves that we live at Da & Papa's house because she gets to play with them every day!
15. She fake coughs all the time. She's gotten so good at it that, that it sounds like she is choking when she does it.

The pictures below range between 7 months to 9 months.

She still loves her jumper.
Riding the horse with Grandma Da

She loves her food.
Sup yo. Just chillin' in my jumper.

I can't say no to this face.

Love this babe.

My dad put this hat on her and said "hurry, take this picture, it's adorable!"

This is when Ivy had the worst hives ever. So sad.

I guess I'm one of those moms that likes to dress like their daughter!

When I tried to put an elastic in her hair. Jason said she kind of looked like a sumo wrestler. I think it's cute!
Ivy also likes going for walks, when the sun isn't in her face.
I'm so happy and lucky to be her mama.

Wicked Date NIght

I have to document the date nights we go on, since they are few and far between. Jas and I love just hanging out on the weekends with Ivy, maybe renting a redbox, getting some good food, probably a Fiiz, Swig or Sonic.  But, when we get to go on a date, we feel young again! Jason surprised me with tickets to see Wicked at the Capitol Theatre. I had never seen it but I had heard so much about it. I can't tell you how much I loved every single minute of this play. How have I lived so long and not experienced this play. Now, every time they came into town, we are going (right Jas?) He loved it too. Elphaba was so amazing, the music was amazing, Galindaaa the Good Witch was amazing. Oh how I loved it. I was in heaven.

Jason and I went for sushi, got Gelato, got in trouble for taking pictures inside the Capital Theatre, and enjoyed this amazing play. We got home around midnight (we never stay up that late). We were so tired. Next date we have planned, we have to see the Maze Runner!

Park City in July-Catching up!

I haven't posted in a while and I really need to. So much has happened. I need to write about Park City, Ivy Grace (crawling, pulling herself into a standing position), Jenny's wedding, going back to work, etc...

I just don't feel like I have any time anymore. I will find time to document it all.

Park City first. I'm playing catch up. It was so fun to get away and go to Park City with the Davies Family for the family fun weekend over the 4th of July. We swam, ate delicious food, played games, rode on the alpine slide, hiked, and just spent time together. Such a fun trip. Ivy just stared at the fireworks.

Trying to take a successful family pic before fireworks.
Our annual bowling competition. We rented out a room and bowled till we couldn't anymore. The World Cup was playing in the foreground and we loved it. P.s. It was the best bowling I've ever done.
